About The Role
The Dry Store Operative is responsible for safely storing and issuing materials where and when needed.
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Safely storing and issuing materials where and when needed using equipment safely and complying with safe working practices
- Carrying out stock movements as instructed in conjunction with company systems to ensure stock accuracy
- Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping within the store and area, and ensuring that company standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained
- Carrying out daily safety checks to any equipment used in the area and fill in forklift check sheets
- Assisting in stock counting duties as required
- Relieving on other roles if required
What We’re Looking For…
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in a warehouse environment, coupled with excellent attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative.
Reporting into the Dry Store Supervisor you’ll also have…
- Forklift, reach truck and PPT qualifications
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- PC literacy

Hours
The shift pattern is 2 days 7am-7pm, 1 day off, 2 nights 7pm-7am followed by 3 days off.
Location
You\’ll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. If you’ve spotted our three wind turbines, then you’ll know where we are! With about 350 employees on site, we’re one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
