Job Title : Multi-Skilled Engineer (Food Manufacturing) Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Manager Shift Pattern: [Days / Nights / Rotating Shifts] Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location : West Midlands Job Descriptions: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and repairing production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum reliability, minimum downtime and safe, efficient production . Candidates may come from an electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled engineering background , but must have strong practical, hands-on maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance ( PPM ) and reactive maintenance. Respond quickly to production breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime. Diagnose, fault-find and repair production and packaging machinery. Maintain equipment including motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, drives, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems . Carry out routine inspections, servicing and component replacement. Support machinery installation, modification and commissioning. Identify recurring equipment problems and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) . Contribute to Continuous Improvement and equipment reliability initiatives. Complete maintenance records and update CMMS where applicable. Work closely with Production and Operations teams. Ensure all engineering activities comply with Health
