About The Role
As part of the Packing and Process departments, the Line Operator ensures the processed flake is packed to company standard, maintaining quality, hygiene, maximum production and safety standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Flexible in learning all aspects and job roles within the department i.e., packing, covering for other operators where necessary
- Carries out all duties with due regard to company safety and working practices
- Ensures that, where appropriate, all company documentation and procedures are followed and executed in the correct manner to company requirements
- Make sure appropriate daily and weekly cleaning is carried out, ensuring that hygiene, Health and Safety and Food Safety standards are met. This includes end of production clean up e.g. cleaning machines and conveyors and floor
- Assists the departments in relieving other operators for breaks
- Identifies and reports any faults to the Senior Operative/FLM and to Engineers where necessary
- Operates a clean as you go policy, such as gathering and removing waste from the department – filter paper, cartons, poly etc.
- Assists in cleaning the department/s to an AIB Gold Standard
- Carries out all reasonable additional duties when requested
- Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any non‑compliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in a similar food manufacturing role with strong attention to detail and current knowledge of manual handling techniques.
