ABOUT THE ROLE:

Whilst working as part of the Packing team, the Case Erector Operative is responsible for setting up and operating the case erectors on three production lines to ensure adequate supply of cases are supplied to the Packing lines. Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the case erectors are set up correctly in line with production requirements, ensuring that the machines are adequately supplied with cases and glue.
  • Complete all associated paperwork, and ensure that Company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Report all damage; signs of wear and tear and decoder issues to the Packing Team Leader, QA or Engineering Department.
  • Actively participate in MCE activities and follow a 'clean as you go' policy.
  • Assist with the training of new operators as and when necessary.
  • Carry out all other responsible duties when requested.
  • Ensure your personal safety and that of all personnel including others who may be affected by the Company's activities.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours.
  • Adhere to the duties required for your role within the Health and Safety policy.
  • Promote and enforce behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical.
  • Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any non-compliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in a similar role and operating machinery in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?

The shift pattern is 2 days 7am-7pm, 1 day off, 2 nights 7pm-7am followed by 3 days off.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK?

You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
