ABOUT THE JOB
The Cold Store Supervisor oversees all processes related to the receipt, storage, dispatch, and control of inventory within a warehouse or distribution centre. This role ensures that goods entering and leaving the facility are accounted for accurately, managed efficiently, and meet operational standards for quality and safety. Leading after a team of twelve individuals supporting all plant functions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Oversee all inbound and outbound goods movement, ensuring efficient unloading, inspection, and storage of incoming goods, and proper preparation and documentation for dispatches.
- Monitor and track inventory levels, supporting stock accuracy and optimal warehouse organisation.
- Coordinate with transport and planning providers to schedule deliveries and collections, minimising delays and maximising efficiency.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and day-to-day operational instructions.
- Absence and timecard management ensuring staffing levels are in place when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on all goods movements, discrepancies, damages, and returns.
- Implement continuous improvements to warehouse processes to drive productivity and reduce errors.
- Conduct and reconcile regular stock counts and audits.
- Consult with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to address any issues related to goods handling or fulfilment.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking, analysis, and reporting purposes.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse, planning, or supply chain management.
- Experience with modern warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols within a warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK...
You'll be based at our Wombourne plant in Staffordshire. And together our small, but perfectly formed team of over 110 colleagues produce our famous (and well loved) potato Smiles as well as our pre-baked Jacket Spuds.
WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?
This role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with flexibility, managing a team working on shifts.
