We're looking for a Category Manager to become a trusted expert across our key categories and the frozen food market. In this high-impact role, you'll turn consumer, market, and customer insights into strategies that drive growth and deliver results. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and build influential relationships with some of the UK's biggest retailers, particularly the Major Multiples. Turn insights into action - Analyse consumer, shopper and market data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and drive category growth. Partner for success - Work closely with our Sales teams to maximise distribution, unlock new opportunities, and deliver against ambitious commercial objectives. Influence key customers - Build strong relationships with leading retail partners, delivering compelling category reviews, range recommendations, and NPD proposals that drive results. Drive digital growth - Collaborate with Ecommerce and Commercial teams to create and execute winning online category strategies. Bring shopper plans to life - Develop impactful shopper activation programmes that align with McCain's Category Vision and deliver value for customers and consumers alike. Own your category - Act as the go-to category expert for your product area, shaping insight-led strategies, supporting successful product launches, and ensuring outstanding execution in market. What you'll need to be successful. 2-3 years' experience in category management, insight, commercial support within FMCG/CPG, ideally with exposure to Retail environments. A strong track record of turning consumer and market insight into action, with the ability to develop clear, commercially relevant recommendations. Analytical capability, with hands-on experience using key data sources and tools, including: o Retail: Kantar, Circana (formerly IRI/Nielsen), dunnhumby o Additional tools: PowerBI, SAP BI, Excel and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) Proven ability to query, interpret and synthesise complex data, translating insight into practical business and customer outcomes. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships across internal teams and with external partners. Benefits.
