Our client, a leading global investment manager, are growing their European operation and are looking to hire a senior, data focussed, technical business analyst. This is a senior (director level) role, responsible for leading complex data initiatives to support and build out scalable applications for their fixed income stakeholder group.

As a senior technical business analyst in data management, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in the design, delivery and continuous improvement of fixed income data products. You will be responsible for these products’ success from inception to delivery, collaborating with cross functional teams, and solving complex data challenges that align to strategic business outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will need to have deep experience in the asset management industry, particularly in fixed income, and a strong track record of delivering data initiatives and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions in this environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Leading and driving business and data initiatives as part of a delivery team, designing and delivering scalable solutions for fixed income stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and guiding delivery teams in building fixed income data products, identifying automation opportunities and integrating emerging technologies.
  • Developing high-quality, well documented and efficient business requirements, ensuring development follows modern coding practices.
  • Partnering with tech leads to refine product roadmaps and milestones, capturing technical designs and working closely with delivery teams.
  • Leading backlog refinement, prioritization and sprint planning, ensuring user stories have clear acceptance criteria and measurable business outcomes.
  • Using advanced SQL skills to conduct data analysis, including reviewing stored procedures and Java code to deliver end to end process mapping.
Key requirements:
  • Deep asset management experience, specifically within fixed income.
  • Extensive experience as a data product owner and/or technical business analyst working with large scale datasets or data platforms within fixed income.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, managing backlogs, guiding prioritisation of data products using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong data management background - data evaluation and mapping skills, including interface mapping to databases and integration with internal and external applications.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
  • Leadership experience – leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder influencing skills.
