THE OPPORTUNITY
Own IT strategy and operations over a focused 6-month engagement. Assess the business, build a realistic plan, mobilise delivery across critical projects, and hand over a clear roadmap.
Strategic sprint, not permanent commitment. You'll rapidly understand the landscape, prioritise ruthlessly, execute through vendors and in-house teams, and exit cleanly with the organization set up for success.
THE ENGAGEMENT
- Weeks 1-4: Assessment & Planning
- Understand business problems through senior stakeholder engagement
- Identify themes across IT, business, and vendor landscape
- Develop roadmap, budgets, and investment cases
- Present to CFO; secure buy-in and mobilise
- Months 2-6: Execution & Transition
- Oversee the delivery of critical projects (office move, infrastructure/security, SharePoint review, AI adoption)
- Assess vendors and MSPs
- Hand over clear roadmap and improved environment
Must have:
- 15+ years IT leadership in financial services or regulated environment
- Broad technical depth across infrastructure, security, SaaS, vendor management
- Strong stakeholder management — can gain buy-in across organisation
- Independent operator — comfortable working autonomously
- Pragmatic mindset — balances strategic thinking with practical execution
