An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, private equity backed data centre owner-operator, who are looking to expand their team with a Safety and Compliance Lead. The successful candidate will play a critical part in driving process and policy adoption, best practice, training, and continuous improvement, to maintain a safe, secure and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Policy creation and adoption relating to ISO and PCI DSS standards
  • Health and safety representation for the UK office
  • Workplace safety - maintaining H&S policies
  • Emergency preparedness - safety, first aid and emergency procedures
  • Operations - ownership of site logbooks and registers, reviewing RAMs, MOPs, SOPs
  • Cross-regional alignment - working across multiple locations with group-wide teams
  • Risk and incident management
  • Delivering training and awareness
  • Conducting and supporting internal and external audits

To be successful in this role you must possess the following:

  • A strong health and safety background, ideally gained in a data centre environment (or similar facilities)
  • Certification in IOSH or NEBOSH
  • Experience with ISO and integrated management systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with risk assessments, compliance audits and incident investigations
