An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, private equity backed data centre owner-operator, who are looking to expand their team with a Safety and Compliance Lead. The successful candidate will play a critical part in driving process and policy adoption, best practice, training, and continuous improvement, to maintain a safe, secure and compliant workplace.
Key responsibilities include:
- Policy creation and adoption relating to ISO and PCI DSS standards
- Health and safety representation for the UK office
- Workplace safety - maintaining H&S policies
- Emergency preparedness - safety, first aid and emergency procedures
- Operations - ownership of site logbooks and registers, reviewing RAMs, MOPs, SOPs
- Cross-regional alignment - working across multiple locations with group-wide teams
- Risk and incident management
- Delivering training and awareness
- Conducting and supporting internal and external audits
To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
- A strong health and safety background, ideally gained in a data centre environment (or similar facilities)
- Certification in IOSH or NEBOSH
- Experience with ISO and integrated management systems
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with risk assessments, compliance audits and incident investigations
