An exciting FinTech in the City of London is now looking to recruit a Head of HR on a part-time basis. The business seeks a strategic and people-focused leader to drive all aspects of human resources in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role offers a base of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, and it's 3 days a week / hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full employee journey – from recruitment and onboarding to progression, training, and exit processes.
- Design and lead performance appraisal and employee engagement processes that inspire, motivate, and drive excellence.
- Analyse remuneration trends and perform market research to ensure competitive and fair compensation strategies.
- Develop strategic staff planning and retention initiatives to support business growth and sustainability.
- Coach and support line managers in recruitment, people management, and day-to-day HR best practices.
- Manage third-party HR partners for recruitment, training, and employee benefits with accountability for quality and value.
- Foster employee wellbeing and culture by organising welfare and social initiatives aligned with our values.
Ideal background:
- Proven HR leadership experience, ideally in a startup, FinTech, or Financial Services environment.
- Deep understanding of HR practices, UK employment law, and people strategy.
- A proactive, strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves.
- Empathetic and approachable, with a passion for people and company culture.
- Experience with outsourced HR/recruitment vendors is a plus.
