Cyber Resilience SME Consultant
Location: Berkshire (Hybrid, primarily remote)
Rate: Β£630 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3-monht Initial contract opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Resilience SME Consultant to support a large retail organisation in developing and delivering its cyber resilience strategy.
Working closely with technology, security, and business stakeholders, you will provide subject matter expertise to shape and influence cyber resilience capabilities, recovery planning, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Support the definition and execution of the organisation's cyber resilience strategy.
Work across infrastructure and application teams to establish containment and recovery procedures in the event of a cyber security incident.
Assess current resilience capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and enhance cyber recovery plans, playbooks, and operational processes.
Collaborate with security, technology, and business stakeholders to improve organisational preparedness.
Provide guidance on resilience best practices, frameworks, and industry standards.
Support cyber incident response and recovery planning activities.
Facilitate workshops and engage with senior stakeholders to drive resilience initiatives.
Contribute to testing, exercising, and validation of recovery and continuity procedures.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Cyber Resilience Consultant, Cyber Security Consultant, or similar SME-level role.
Strong understanding of cyber resilience, cyber recovery, incident response, and business continuity principles.
Experience working across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments.
Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and industry best practices.
Experience developing recovery strategies, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong communication and consultancy skills.
Experience within large, complex organisations is highly desirable.
