About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst for a leading investment house on a 12 month contract to drive the integration of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions into their operations. This role combines traditional systems analysis expertise with deep knowledge of GenAI technologies, making you the bridge between complex business requirements and innovative AI-powered technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Analysis & Process Optimization
- Analyse complex business processes and translate requirements into comprehensive technical specifications
- Design and implement data integration solutions across multiple platforms, databases, and APIs
- Map existing workflows and identify opportunities for GenAI enhancement and automation
- Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration between legacy systems and modern AI solutions
- Integrate Generative AI solutions (ChatGPT, Claude, custom LLMs) into existing enterprise systems
- Design and implement vector databases and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
- Develop GenAI workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex
- Conduct prompt engineering and evaluate AI model performance in real-world business contexts
Technical Implementation & Cloud Solutions
- Leverage cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for scalable AI solution deployment
- Utilize system analysis tools and process mapping software to document and improve workflows
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards across all AI implementations
- Monitor and optimize GenAI system performance and resource utilization
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical constraints
- Translate complex GenAI capabilities into clear business value propositions for stakeholders
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide training and support to teams adopting new AI-powered systems
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in systems analysis, business process mapping, and technical specification development
- Hands-on experience with GenAI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, custom LLMs) and their business applications
- Proficiency with GenAI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of data integration, APIs, databases, and vector database technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of RAG architectures and AI model evaluation methodologies
Core Skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and experience optimizing AI workflows
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in agile development environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in systems analysis or similar technical role
- Professional certifications in cloud platforms (Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)
- Experience with machine learning operations (MLOps) and AI governance frameworks
- Background in enterprise software integration and digital transformation projects
