A leading global financial services organisation is expanding its Capital Markets cloud platform team and is hiring AVP–VP level Systems Engineers to support the build, engineering and operation of highly resilient, regulated cloud infrastructure. These roles sit within a platform engineering environment focused on reliability, governance and performance for trading and front-office workloads. You’ll work closely with cloud engineering, security, SRE and application teams to standardise platforms and improve operational maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer and support cloud platforms across AWS (primary) with exposure to Azure and GCP
  • Improve platform reliability, observability and operational controls (SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, incident response)
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, CI/CD, policy-as-code)
  • Support secure, governed environments aligned to financial services regulatory expectations
  • Integrate logging, vulnerability management, IAM and monitoring tooling
  • Help define standardised platform patterns for application teams
  • Contribute to performance, resiliency and low-latency infrastructure design

Required Experience

  • Hands-on AWS experience in production environments
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
  • Observability / monitoring tooling (Splunk, Datadog, ELK, Prometheus, Geneos, etc.)
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems
  • Strong operational and reliability mindset
  • Capital Markets or investment banking experience
  • Low latency or high-availability environments
