The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Location: Nantgarw CF15 7QU

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Sunday to Friday rotating shifts covering days, afternoons and nights)

The Finishing Operator takes printed reels of labels from the print press and slits them into individual rolls, ready for shipment to the customer. This is a vital role within our process as the Finishing Operator also plays an important part in the quality process by inspecting the labels for defects and they are the last pair of eyes on the product before the labels leave for the customer.

The Finishing Operator is responsible for:

  • the timely setting up and down of slitting and inspection machines;
  • the die cutting or slitting of printed master reels;
  • the quality inspection of finished products;
  • packing;
  • reworking;
  • cutting cores;
  • the removal of waste;
  • and the completion of relevant paperwork and administration.

Previous experience of label processing is not necessary however the ideal candidate will have experience of machine operating within a manufacturing facility. Applicants must be able to take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of their own work, understand the importance of working to health & safety guidelines, have good colour vision and should not be affected by strobe lighting.
