At Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), we take pride in producing premium-quality products for our customers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented OPEX LEAD to join our dedicated team and help maintain our high standards, delivering the continuous improvement effort to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost at our Daventry Plant.
About the Role - In this exciting role you will:
- Develop and maintain a lean transformation plan to deliver value, eliminate waste and improve performance based on strategy deployment and business results.
- Collaborate with leaders to execute Gemba walk process (Managing for Daily Improvement), utilising and constantly improving the production floor and in the office areas.
- Drive all levels of leaders to implement continuous improvement and eliminate flow inhibitors.
- Lead the plant-wide cost savings program to meet and/or exceed annual targets, including identification, validation, and execution of projects.
- Establish and maintain plant KPIs and visual factory tools in the organisation’s Lean system, serving as subject matter expert.
- Communicate and lead the change to plant/department leaders.
- Implement Lean CI strategy at the plant level.
- Communicate monthly productivity and CI results to management and corporate CI team.
- Develop and implement CI roadmap to improve flow of materials and other improvements as defined by CI roadmap.
- Execute CI roadmap within the sites, participate/teach/lead the deployment of CI projects.
- Establish standardized work and audit schedule for sustainment, driving and improving the metrics.
- Be an active leader within the company’s OPEX communities to spread improvements, share best practices and support where required.
The Person - To succeed in this role, you will have a:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or significant direct manufacturing experience using & leading continuous improvement tools, systems, and methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt experience.
- Experience in driving cultural change, leading teams, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Skilled in managing projects, risks, and leading teams across functions to achieve operational goals.
- Strong ability to analyse performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and implement data-based solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment with a constant bias for action.
- Ability to empower teams so they can independently drive improvements.
- Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies with a bias towards Lean.
- Presentation skills, facilitation & coaching skills.
- Ability to travel, as required, between various sites.
