Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining all accreditations: ISO9001, 14001, 45001 & BRC.
- Provide guidance and advice to managers, supervisors, and employees on all issues pertaining to health & safety.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements and company policies.
- Assist teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing controls to manage and reduce risks.
- Establish safe operational procedures considering all relevant hazards.
- Record, report, and investigate incidents and near misses.
- Provide HSE training sessions and educate the workforce on safety expectations and lessons learned from previous incidents.
- Perform safety audits and inspections to measure safety culture and compliance.
- Ensure waste segregation and measure environmental parameters.
- Manage contractors and consultants in all aspects of health and safety.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant HSE certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG environments.
Other considerations:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Risk assessment, problem solving, teamwork, conflict resolution, and adaptability.
