Finishing Operator
Location: Nantgarw CF15 7QU
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Sunday to Friday rotating shifts covering days, afternoons and nights).
The Finishing Operator takes printed reels of labels from the print press and slits them into individual rolls, ready for shipment to the customer. This vital role involves inspecting the labels for defects; the operator is the last pair of eyes before shipment.
Responsibilities
- Timely setting up and down of slitting and inspection machines; die cutting or slitting of printed master reels.
- Quality inspection of finished products; packing; reworking; cutting cores; removal of waste.
- Completion of relevant paperwork and administration.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of label processing not necessary; ideal candidate has experience operating machines within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of own work.
- Understanding of importance of working to health & safety guidelines.
- Good colour vision and not affected by strobe lighting.
