Key Purpose:To be the link between R&D and operations in the implementation of new formulations in the workplace. To work alongside Blenders to ensure a smooth and successful process and to raise and drive process improvements.
Key Activities:- To work closely with the R&D Team and the Blending team to improve ways of working, Right First Time and Trial production Runs.
- To carry out laboratory and pilot plant work as part of projects agreed with line management.
- To provide process support to the blending team.
- Preparation of samples for the appropriate external testing for all formulation developments.
- Organise monthly production technical meetings to discuss current projects and encourage good communication.
- Using laboratory knowledge to proactively suggest areas for improvement.
- To support development colleagues in other work as required.
- Willingness to undertake the necessary training activities.
- To ensure compliance on an individual and departmental level of Company Health and Safety Policy, Procedures, Standards and Regulations at all times.
- Will relate directly to the above activities.
- Consistency and quality of laboratory work will result in department meeting relevant KPI’s.
- Deliver projects on time, meeting customer and internal targets, at agreed variable and production costs.
- All developments can be produced within our factories using agreed methodologies and to agreed efficiency of physical, chemical and process standards.
