McBride Sport is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing sports and live events organisation to appoint a Marketing Manager. Our client is a high-growth sports and entertainment business operating across multiple international markets. Bringing together elite athletes and fans, it has quickly established itself as a new force in sport, turning every event into a cultural moment and building a passionate, digitally native audience along the way. The organisation challenges convention moves fast and is committed to making sport more accessible, engaging and connected.
The Marketing Manager will own the organisation's full growth engine, from paid media and performance marketing through to PR and ticket sales. This is a genuinely full-funnel role: you'll set the paid and earned media strategy, build the relationships that turn moments into stories, and connect every channel back to tickets sold and a growing, owned fan database. Key responsibilities include:
- Own paid media and performance marketing. Set and run strategy across paid social, search, programmatic and display, covering targeting, creative testing, budget allocation and channel mix. Define the audience roadmap and KPIs, and use the data to make confident calls week to week.
- Lead PR by building proactive press relationships across sports, entertainment and business media, owning press releases, media materials and campaign narratives that generate earned coverage and commercial opportunities.
- Manage the agency and partner ecosystem. Own relationships with PR, media and creative agencies, negotiate commercial terms and hold partners to measurable delivery.
- Drive ticket sales. Own the full-funnel plan that turns awareness into purchases, aligning paid, social, CRM, PR and partnerships activity.
- Build out the first-party data sets. Capture fans at every touchpoint and convert one-time viewers into an owned, growing audience.
- Report on what matters. Deliver sharp weekly reporting that informs decisions and moves the business forward.
We are looking to identify someone with the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience running paid media across paid social, search, programmatic and display, with real ownership of budget and channel mix
- A strong interest in performance data, confident setting KPIs, reading dashboards and making fast decisions when a campaign isn't delivering
- Ability to managing agencies and external partners, including negotiating deals and holding them to account
- A full-funnel mindset, able to connect paid, social, CRM, PR and partnerships into one plan that drives revenue
- Experience building or growing a first-party data / CRM audience from scratch
- Experience in a fast-scaling, high-growth environment
