Due to continued growth, McBains are looking for an experienced Senior Building Services Designer (Electrical) who is keen to further develop their career and assist with the management and development of our growing electrical engineering design team in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing and preparing designs for the full range of building services.
- Overseeing and site-supervising building services installations which have been undertaken by others.
- Providing relevant contributions to the ongoing development of health and safety plans and files.
- Executing trouble shooting exercises associated with energy consumption and the provision of suitable internal conditions, surveys, reports, schedules and dilapidations and feasibility reports.
- Preparing planned maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance procedures and contract management and reporting.
- Overseeing energy strategies and Part L compliance with projects.
- Managing the building services team’s delivery of appointments.
- Maintaining client relationships and securing of repeat business.
- Preparing fee proposals and negotiation of appointments with client (for approval by director).
- Actively participating in the development of individual team members, including advancement/ successive planning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will need to be a team player with the ability to work under pressure.
- You will be required to ensure that client satisfaction and the specific project aims, objectives and deadlines are met.
- You will take a supporting role in business development and general promotion of the Company Values, Culture.
