At McArthurGlen, we’re committed to creating safe, compliant and high-performing environments across our designer outlet centres. We’re now looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to support and coordinate health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) management activity across our European portfolio. This is a high-impact, operationally focused role working across multiple countries, supporting centre teams in delivering strong Health & Safety standards. You will act as a key connector across regions, providing practical guidance, driving consistency, and ensuring compliance across diverse regulatory environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys influencing and delivering outcomes without direct line management responsibility, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinating Health & Safety activity across 5 European regions, ensuring alignment and consistency.
- Supporting Centre Managers and Facilities teams with practical H&S guidance and advice.
- Acting as a technical H&S expert, particularly on UK regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and communicating new and emerging regulations, supporting centres in implementation.
- Supporting audits, incident management, and compliance processes across the Group.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across regions and functions.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Health & Safety within a multi-site and/or international environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven experience delivering H&S governance, assurance and compliance activity across multiple sites or regions.
- Strong working knowledge of H&S management systems, digital audit tools and performance reporting platforms.
- A proactive, organised approach with a focus on delivery and follow-through.
- A collaborative mindset.
- Recognised H&S qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or international equivalent) and professional membership (IOSH, IEMA or similar).
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional European language skills desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Additional Information:
- Competitive Salary & Bonus: Enjoy a competitive salary with a performance bonus of up to 30%.
- Wellbeing Allowance: Claim towards yoga, gym equipment, or any activity that promotes your wellbeing.
- Volunteering Days: Benefit from 2 paid volunteering days per year.
- Exclusive Discounts: Access special discounts at our Designer Outlets.
- Flexible Working: Hybrid working options where possible to accommodate your needs.
- International Exposure: Work with colleagues across eight countries within a global organization.
- Learning & Development: Access LinkedIn Learning from day one with over 16,000 courses available. Grow through internal moves, cross-country projects, international secondments, and a calendar of core development opportunities.
- Values-Based Culture: Thrive in an inclusive and collaborative environment where we value excellence, innovation, and making a difference.
- Positive Work Environment: Over 89% of our colleagues would recommend us as a great place to work, according to our latest internal engagement survey.
