We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer on behalf of a client. Our client is a leading global distributor of pharmaceuticals. This is a hybrid role. The QA Officer is an integral member of the QA team, providing support to the Responsible Person and the broader QA team with all day-to-day aspects of quality assurance, to ensure high levels of GMDP are maintained. Regular interactions with all departments from Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Sales and Procurement will be required on a day-to-day basis.

  • Salary: £34,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience
  • Bonus
  • Location: Watford
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm or 8am to 4.30pm
  • Hybrid working: 2 days from home and 3 days on site
  • Annual leave: 24 days plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • The role incorporates all areas of the Quality Management System, including maintaining and controlling GMDP documentation (SOPs, work instructions, forms) including review cycle, version control and training.
  • Support customer complaint and deviation investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Manage tracking of deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
  • Assist with internal audits of GMDP activities.
  • Support supplier and customer qualification, including periodic due diligence checks.
  • Support recall and mock recall activities.
  • Assist with the carrying out of audits of external service providers and suppliers.
  • Assist with hosting audits by clients and inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Work closely with warehouse team; complete warehouse compliance checks.
  • Support the preparation for six-monthly Management Review meetings including trend analysis.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience of working in a QA role within Pharma, wholesale, distribution or manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of GDP requirements essential; some knowledge of GMP would be desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong external relationships and communicate effectively with different audiences, from regulatory authorities, through to customers and service providers.
  • Ability to develop strong internal relationships and to work collaboratively with the wider internal team.
