Our Aftercare Department is seeking an experienced Supervisor with a Joinery background to manage and coordinate the resolution of building defects during the Defects Liability Period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee defects works across multiple projects
- Supervise maintenance works in live buildings
- Ensure all works comply with company standards, Health & Safety requirements, and current legislation
- Carry out inspections in line with client requirements
- Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBTs) and promote safe working practices
- Oversee internal teams and external contractors, including plumbers, electricians, and roofing operatives
- Source materials, arrange deliveries, and ensure purchase orders are completed and approved
- Maintain defects tracking records and attend review meetings
- Lead by example within the Aftercare team in terms of professionalism, punctuality, and work ethic
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship in Carpentry & Joinery (City & Guilds or NVQ)
- Strong knowledge of fire door installation, maintenance, and defect remediation
- Proven experience supervising teams
- IT literate with good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- First Aid, Manual Handling, and Health & Safety certifications
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- BM TRADA / Q-Mark or similar accreditation
- UK-wide travel to site is required
