Our Finance Department provides group wide corporate support to property investment and development companies.
Reporting directly into a Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide bookkeeping support for the finance team and prepare year end accounts and financial statements for the wider MRP group.
- Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for small and medium companies ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
- Assist with audit preparation and queries raised during audit.
- Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns.
- Submission of accounts to Companies House.
- Cash Book postings.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Liasing with external agents when required.
- Any other duties as required by management.
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI).
- At least 2 yearsβ experience in a busy finance department.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a professional, collaborative approach, with an ability to build positive working relationships.
- Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have the ability to quickly adapt to various sets of computerised accounts.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of appointment.
- Previous experience in statutory accounts using software such as Sage Accounts Production & Bright.
