MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to carry out routine and reactive maintenance at a busy gas storage facility based in Alton, Hampshire.
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned and corrective mechanical maintenance on oil and gas production facilities
- Service and maintain pumps, valves, motors, air compressors, gas compressors and gas turbines
- Perform vendor-specified maintenance to minimise plant downtime
- Support pipeline corrosion monitoring and associated systems
- Carry out equipment isolations and ensure safe systems of work
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
- Work alongside specialist vendors and supervise contractors on site
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and high standards of housekeeping
- Participate in call-out support for plant breakdowns when required
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Time-served Mechanical Technician (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 minimum)
- 4–5 years' mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
