MC Technical Recruitment is currently working with a specialist engineering business to recruit a Technical Support Engineer. This role is Monday to Friday 9am til 5pm and will act as a technical interface between the company and its customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and becoming a true product expert.
As the Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support to customers via phone and email, resolving product and system-related queries
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and controls-based issues
- Becoming a product specialist, developing in-depth knowledge of systems and applications
- Supporting internal teams with technical expertise and application guidance
- Occasionally conducting site visits when necessary
This role requires someone who can confidently communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A military, ex-services background could suit
- HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a technical support, field service, commissioning or controls-based role
- Ability to learn to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control system documentation
- Practical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
