MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Lead Maintenance Technician to manage the day to day running of the maintenance department at a busy gas storage facility based in Alton, Hampshire.

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing health & safety supervision during all maintenance tasks ensuring compliance with safety and welfare requirements
  • Supervising and leading a team of technicians, ensuring job specifications are met and safe working practices are followed
  • Monitoring and managing departmental performance to maintain high efficiency and output standards
  • Ensuring the maintenance Management System is accurately and promptly updated; reviewing daily to prioritise work orders
  • Supporting reporting, planning, scheduling and execution of site work orders
  • Coordinating and supervising both in-house and third party labour/services as required
  • Identifying opportunities for plant development

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Relevant qualification in instrumentation (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 minimum) with electrical knowledge
  • 4–5 years' maintenance experience on equipment related to installed instrument and/or electrical equipment in a supervisory capacity
  • A sound knowledge of the oil/gas production (or similar) industry, its operating characteristics and safe working practices
  • Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • A full understanding of DSEAR/ATEX regulations
