MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Project Software Engineer to join a UK Renewable Energy Business working with wind & solar technologies. This is a technical leadership role focused on specification writing, vendor management & project oversight rather than hands-on development, acting as the client’s technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Project Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Defining requirements & developing detailed technical specifications
- Managing the tendering process & supporting vendor selection
- Overseeing project delivery to ensure scope, quality & timelines are met
- Establishing & enforcing standards for HMI, control systems & alarm management
- Coordinating stakeholders across internal teams & external contractors
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Strong experience with AVEVA System Platform
- Knowledge of InTouch & OMI migration within SCADA environments
- Proven experience delivering SCADA / industrial software projects
- Skilled in technical specification writing & vendor management
- Understanding of HMI design principles & alarm management standards
- Experience delivering large-scale system migrations
The offer:
- Generous day rate outside of IR35
- Hybrid working with some time at home, in Northampton & on site
- 12 month contract with the opportunity to extend due to continuous company investment
