We are seeking an experienced Thermal Plant Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of the Energy from Waste (EfW) facility. The role will involve operations during steady state, start-up, shutdown, and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with Environmental Permit requirements, escalating any non-compliance or incidents to the Shift Team Leader
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems and relevant legislation
- Participate in site HSE initiatives, including forum activities
- Work closely with the Maintenance Team to ensure optimal plant performance
- Coach and mentor new personnel on EfW operations and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including shift handovers and maintenance requests

2 Days / 3 Nights / 4 Off / 3 Days / 2 Nights / 5 Off / 2 Days / 2 Nights / 12 Off
Candidate Requirements
- WAMITAB Level 4 Operator Competence (desirable)
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent problem-solving capability
- Proven ability to operate Energy from Waste facilities
- Experience with combustion and boiler processes
- Commitment to continuous improvement and KPI delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to share technical knowledge
