MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Lead Maintenance Technician to manage the day to day running of the maintenance department at a busy gas storage facility based in Alton, Hampshire.
As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Provide health & safety supervision during all maintenance tasks ensuring compliance with safety and welfare requirements
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians, ensuring job specifications are met and safe working practices are followed
- Monitor and manage departmental performance to maintain high efficiency and output standards
- Ensure the maintenance Management System is accurately and promptly updated; review daily to prioritise work orders
- Support reporting, planning, scheduling and execution of site work orders
- Coordinate and supervise both in-house and third party labour/services as required
- Identify opportunities for plant development
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Relevant qualification in instrumentation (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 minimum) with electrical knowledge
- 4–5 years' maintenance experience on equipment related to installed instrument and/or electrical equipment in a supervisory capacity
- A sound knowledge of the oil/gas production (or similar) industry, its operating characteristics and safe working practices
- Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
- A full understanding of DSEAR/ATEX regulations
