MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Service & Commissioning Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation delivering advanced industrial installations worldwide. This role will involve supporting global customers with the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of complex installations. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a solution-oriented mindset to ensure high performance and reliability across all systems.
As a Service & Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing service and maintenance on a range of equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, pressure systems, gas plant, motors, electrical systems, etc.
- Testing and commissioning installations to ensure full operational capability
- Reporting on maintenance activities, commissioning processes, and system performance
- Routine PPMs and reactive maintenance
- Analysing operational data and adjusting based on findings
- Training customers on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Qualification in mechanical engineering (HNC, HND, NVQ level 3, Apprenticeship, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial environment
- Electrical skills and/or qualification desirable.
- Hands-on experience with rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, process plant, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical data and documentation
- A full UK driving licence is essential as this role will require field-based travel.
