MC Technical Recruitment are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Technician, to carry out the mechanical maintenance on an energy from waste plant.
As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned & reactive maintenance on Mechanical equipment
- Investigating & rectifying mechanical faults to minimise plant downtime
- Recommend plant spare holdings to the Maintenance manager
- Assist the maintenance manager in statutory inspections
- Liaise with operations team regarding fault finding & modification to process equipment
- Any other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
- Proven experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass/CCGT/Oil)
- Extensive experience of carrying out maintenance on mechanical process equipment such as steam boilers, turbines, pumps & conveyors
- Knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Marine Engineers with experience of working on steam raising plant will also be considered for this role
This is a permanent position based in Sheffield; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.

- A basic salary up to cΒ£46,000 depending on experience
