MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Process / Plant Operator to join a renewable energy power plant in Cambridgeshire. As a Process Operator you will be responsible for a range of operational activities to ensure the plant hits its production targets in a safe and efficient manner.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Process Operator, you will be responsible for:
Performing plant walk-arounds and inspections, ensuring optimum performance of plant machinery
Carrying out first line maintenance work when appropriate
Assisting with plant shutdowns and preventative maintenance
Assist and cover the Fuel Operators role when required
Operating a range of mobile plant including FLTs, excavators etc
Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly plant condition
Training up on the DCS (Distributed Control System) over time
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
Production/operations or maintenance experience in a heavy process industrial environment e.g. power generation, anaerobic digestion, water treatment, chemical production, food or manufacturing
Navy Engineers with good operations and maintenance experience are also encouraged to apply
Engineering qualifications such as an apprenticeship, NVQ or BTEC is desirable
Mobile plant skills desirable but not essential
Willingness to work on a 12-hour shift pattern that includes both days and nights
