MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. This role will involve:

  • Develop and design electrical schematics and layouts to meet regulatory standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure design specifications align with their expectations.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and prototypes for various electrical systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential design issues.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Maintain documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications for future reference.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering design.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams and departments as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project progress discussions and updates.
  • Other duties as required.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Qualified designer with a minimum of HNC, HND, or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to sign off on designer competency forms in compliance with Regulation 11F of the building regulations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, design principles, and regulatory requirements.
