MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, to work in a state-of-the-art EfW power station located in Gloucester. Our client is a leading organisation within their sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Technician to join their team in a full time, days-based role with an on-call rota.
As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Routine & emerging maintenance tasks on boilers, steam turbines & conveyor systems
- Maintenance of mechanical plant
- Assisting the Mechanical Engineer with planning
- Managing selected plant improvements
- Supporting annual outages & apprentices
- Promoting H&S compliance at all times
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
- Proven experience in power generation, EfW, oil, biomass or marine or similar sector
- Experience of carrying out maintenance on mechanical process equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, HVAC systems & conveyors, etc.
- Able to work at height on fixed platforms.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Marine Engineers with experience of working on plant will also be considered for this role
The package on offer for this position includes:
- A basic salary c£48,000 depending on experience
- Bonus up to 12% paid quarterly
