MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Service Engineer for a power generation business to maintain large Gas Engines based on sites around a line from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

As Engine Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned & unplanned maintenance on various sites across Edinburgh, Glasgow & the rest of Scotland.
  • Responding to breakdowns & carrying out repairs efficiently on large Gas Engines & CHP units.
  • Operating within strict H&S standards.
  • Ensuring all paperwork & legislation is followed & kept up to date.
  • Working as part of an on-call rota with a team of other engineers.
  • Other duties as required.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Proven experience in an engine maintenance role.
  • A relevant engineering qualification; Apprenticeship/SVQ/NVQ/BTEC/HNC etc.
  • Experience with gas engines would be advantageous.
  • The ability to travel to varied sites with a flexible approach to hours.
  • Full UK driving licence.
