Cheltenham, Essex
MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Based Service Engineer to conduct on site planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns on a fleet of Engines on LFG other Power Generation sites around Chelmsford, Essex.
As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Complete corrective maintenance so that defects are fixed first time when possible.
- Complete engine overhauls, servicing, tuning etc.
- Fault diagnosis repairs on electrical systems to maximise plant availability.
- Provide daily reports.
- Other duties as required.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Maintenance engineering technical qualification essential (BTEC ONC/HNC, NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of generators desired but not essential.
- Working knowledge of combustion engines, gas turbines, compressors etc.
- Knowledge and experience of fault finding working from drawings.
- Flexible approach to work – willing to travel regularly and put in extra hours when needed.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading power generation business with a salary of up to circa £44,000 per annum plus overtime, fully expensed van, paid travel time and various other benefits.
