MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit two Site Maintenance / Site Operators for a waste management company to be responsible for the operation & maintenance of closed landfill sites across North Wales, Cheshire, Lancashire with Warrington being the most central place of the area to be covered. This is a full-time role, working a 37.5 hour 5 day week, 8am until 4:30pm.
As Site Operative you will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine site inspections (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure safe & compliant operations
- Monitoring landfill systems (leachate & gas) & report any faults or irregularities
- Carrying out maintenance, repairs, & upkeep of site infrastructure & equipment
- Supervising & coordinating contractors, including inductions & compliance checks
- Ensuring adherence to environmental & health & safety regulations
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Knowledge of landfill operations, including leachate & gas management systems
- Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of health & safety legislation & procedures
- Competent IT skills (e.g. email, Microsoft Word, smartphones)
- Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel between multiple sites
