MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Based Electrical Technician to conduct on site planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns on a fleet of Landfill Gas (LFG) Power Generation sites across Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire etc.
As the Electrical Technician you will be responsible for:
- Complete corrective maintenance so that electrical defects are fixed first time when possible.
- Meet and greet electrical contractors on site, conducting safety paperwork etc so their work can be completed.
- Fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical systems to maximise plant availability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Electrical engineering technical qualification essential (BTEC ONC/HNC, NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of electrical generators desired but not essential.
- Working knowledge of BS7671, 18th edition Electrical Installation Regulations and associated legislative standards.
- Knowledge and experience of fault finding and working from electrical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience of Operating High voltage Switchgear.
- Flexible approach to work – willing to travel regularly and put in extra hours when needed.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading power generation business with a salary of up to circa £38,000 per annum plus overtime, private healthcare, a bonus up to 15% and various other benefits.
