We’re looking for a globally oriented, detail focused GDPR & Compliance Manager. This role reports into the Security & Compliance Director whilst working on a day-to-day basis with the wider UK Operations Dept both in the UK and overseas. This is a full-time role, based in London on a hybrid working basis, with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office a week.

About the Role

The GDPR & Compliance Manager will work closely with the Security & Compliance Director and Operations Director to ensure UK GDPR regulations are adhered to and compliant both in the UK and in our overseas regions.

What you’ll do

  • DPIA, ROPA and consent frameworks management and oversight.
  • Collaboration with project managers on all things GDPR.
  • Key stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • GDPR – policy, internal training, governance and compliance management.
  • Supplier data sharing T&C reviews.

About You

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and related data protection legislation. They’ll have demonstrable experience managing DPIAs and privacy risk assessments in a large or global organisation. They’ll have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business advice. They’ll have a proven ability to work across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in law or a related business field is preferred.
  • Strong experience in data protection law (GDPR, UK GDPR, PECR).
  • Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
  • Confident liaising with wider business stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, agile work ethic.
  • Thorough and methodical attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and elevate issues appropriately.

Additional requirements for the role include

  • Often ex-law firm, regulator, or in-house counsel.
  • CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent privacy certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a multinational or matrix organisation.
  • Familiarity with privacy tools and technologies.
