We are looking for an Analyst specialising in politics, media landscapes, and information environments across the Europe region to play a key role in producing the insight that underpins our strategic communications work. As a Senior Analyst, you will monitor political dynamics, track evolving narratives, and analyse social, cultural, and informational trends.
About The Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join one of the groups specialist divisions. This role sits within M&C Saatchi World Services of M&C Saatchi Group. World Services is a specialist division of M&C Saatchi Group. Partnering with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention.
We provide a fully integrated, end-to-end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards developing countries, and fragile, conflict affected states.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing the politics, media, and information environments of Eastern Europe, acting as an in-house source on that region’s politics, culture and information space. This includes utilising media monitoring and social listening tools to inform reporting.
- Producing timely, relevant analyses, briefings and strategic recommendations verbally and in writing for many levels of the agency.
- Providing insight to support the development of communications strategies and responding to ad hoc research requests.
- Developing an understanding of regional strategy and project objectives, informing and guiding them.
- Providing support to other project/regional/thematic-assigned analysts, as required.
- Conducting own desk-based research.
About You
What you bring (knowledge, expertise, experience, and skills):
- Degree in International Relations, War Studies, Russian and Eastern European Studies, or a related subject with a regional/geopolitical focus.
- Interest in or previous experience working on Eastern Europe.
- Excellent analytical skills; in particular, familiarity with qualitative and quantitative social science data.
- Excellent writing and good presentation skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Preferably you will also have:
- Fluency or business proficiency in Russian or other Eastern European languages.
- Experience using monitoring or social listening tools.
- Practical experience of working with qualitative and quantitative social science data.
- Practical experience of Structured Analytical Techniques and their application in open-source research and analysis.
- Knowledge of the Python programming language.
