We are looking for a proactive, motivated and results-driven individual who demonstrates strong written and spoken communications skills. The candidate will have a good understanding of the media and influencer landscape and the ability to build positive relationships with journalists, influencers, colleagues and junior clients. Playing a vital supporting role across a matrix structure of high-performing account teams, the individual will embrace variety and new challenges, as well as being a strong team player.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates an initial understanding of, and strong interest in, the power of storytelling across multiple channels (PR, social, influencer) to help the team deliver compelling communications across earned and owned media.
- Demonstrates strong writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to structure and write first drafts of a variety of content types and materials for line manager review.
- Materials could range from product press releases and media pitches to influencer example social post content and collating campaign reports.
- Demonstrates a passion for media relations and coverage generation, from adopting a proactive attitude to ensure media lists are always up-to-date and include all possible opportunities/targets, to pitching product and press office stories to relevant media.
- Quickly develops an understanding of a client’s products, services, audience and key messages to begin to suggest media angles to your team/supervisors for consideration.
- Demonstrates a passion for influencer relations, from selecting and reviewing nano/micro influencers to ensure they are all on brand/no negative content on their feeds, to helping to develop/recommend their briefings.
- Begins to establish personal contacts with key journalists through selling in and proactive, regular meetings with the journalists.
- Actively consumes topical news, opinion, commentary, competitor activity and trends to inspire thinking and work, and shares with their teams and clients where relevant.
- Results driven, supporting supervisors on agreed deliverables and processes across both administrative tasks, e.g. reporting, coverage tracking as well as activity e.g. media/influencer gifting, securing coverage and influencer content.
- Works effectively under guidance from senior team members to deliver agreed tasks and client work efficiently, exhibiting a flexible and adaptable approach to meet priorities and deadlines.
- Always meets deadlines in a timely manner and proactively flags in advance if meeting the deadlines may not be possible.
- Starts to take on some client ownership and liaison for specific projects e.g. updating and sharing work status reports with the client.
- Takes ownership of retainer and campaign reporting, including liaising with local market PR agencies/internal teams for results as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to confidently present ideas and insights to teammates and clients.
- Demonstrates creative flair and confidently contributes to brainstorms.
About You
As an Account Executive you will be an ambassador and advocate for the agency at internal and external events and networking opportunities. You will assist teams with new business proposals, researching competitors, trends and insights to ensure campaign development and success. Additionally, you will have regular attendance and contribute constructively to internal company meetings and brainstorms.
