We are seeking an enthusiastic PR Account Manager to join our team at M+C Saatchi UK, working on clients in the social impact space.
The ideal candidate will have experience in media relations and account management, with a passion for global issues like renewable energy, development and climate change. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing PR campaigns, and supporting with the day to day managing of client accounts.
What you’ll do:
- Identify media opportunities by reading the news and keeping on top of current affairs globally
- Cultivate relationships with journalists, pitch news stories and help to secure positive coverage for clients
- Draft engaging press releases, media pitches and other communications materials
- Own and be responsible for tracking project timelines and maintaining regular communication with clients
- Prepare meeting materials and status reports for internal and client meetings
- Monitor media coverage and social media conversations related to clients and industry topics, providing regular updates to the team
What you’ll bring:
Well-suited to someone who’s already gained some, hands-on PR experience and is ready to step up and take ownership of campaigns and client relationships.
- Passionate about global/social issues and current events, such as climate changeand international development, including an interest in issues in Africa, India and Latin America.
- Proven experience in media relations and account management within the PR industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team, building strong relationships with clients and media contacts
