To serve one of our Tourism Board clients in the MENA region, we are looking for an Account Director PR (Full-time or Freelance)– Tourism (UK) (f/m/d). You will serve as an external press service and shall be responsible for distributing press releases to B2B and B2C and communicating with media. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, including travel journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers, and industry experts. You identify, develop and execute strategic plans to increase business development opportunities for one of our governmental clients within the tourism sector. You will establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders such as tour operators, travel agencies, and destination management companies for our client. You will manage and maintain a database of partners and collaborators, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, MICE operators, and associations for our client. You will research and identify potential MICE clients and opportunities for hosting events and conferences for our clients. You identify, develop, and evaluate marketing and communication strategies for our client.

Your profile:

  • You communicate convincingly, confidently and sympathetically.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry and the MICE sector.
  • You have at least five years of professional experience in the development of partnerships in the MICE sector and in the travel industry.
  • You have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree with a focus on business administration, public relations or preferably, tourism.
  • You are not afraid to take on responsibility and can manage customers and external providers.
  • You have excellent verbal and written English skills.
