We are a Midlands-based property company in the process of launching a dedicated fire door remediation business, and we are looking to build a small pool of 1–3 experienced, qualified subcontractors to work with us on an ongoing basis. This is a self‑employed subcontracting arrangement — not employment. We handle all of the client‑facing work: sourcing jobs, scheduling, administration, invoicing, and compliance documentation. You focus entirely on the physical work.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in fire door inspection, installation and/or remediation
  • FDIS, FireQual, IFC or equivalent accreditation
  • Own tools, van and Public Liability insurance
  • CIS registered (or willing to register)
  • Currently working for multiple clients — genuine self‑employed status
  • Based in or willing to cover Birmingham, West Midlands and/or Worcestershire

We want to find the right people now and grow together as the business develops. We are not looking for a one-off arrangement; we want reliable, professional subcontractors who take quality and compliance seriously. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Please send a message here on LinkedIn or drop an email to chris.powell@mbslettings.co.uk with a brief overview of your experience and accreditations.
