The Logistics & Distribution Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the Equipment Control function and wider operations, with success measured through visible performance and strong adherence to systems, processes, and procedures. You will ensure rental stock is accurately picked, tested and dispatched in line with customer requirements, maintaining high standards through auditing and quality control while ensuring all packaging meets required standards and any specific instructions are followed.

A key focus in the role is delivering operational excellence by “making a difference” and “making it happen.” Leading the Equipment Co-ordination and Returns teams, you will oversee the accurate tracking, check-in and check-out of rental and consumable stock, ensuring efficient workflow distribution and consistent communication with sales, account handlers and logistics teams. You will take ownership of managing order changes, shortages and delivery schedules, ensuring all documentation, scanning and despatch processes are completed accurately and in line with business expectations.

Alongside day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across the department, reviewing and enhancing processes related to equipment handling, transport, packaging and load security. You will manage team performance, resourcing and development, while supporting the creation and implementation of robust operational procedures. Working closely with the wider operations function, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient turnaround of high-spec rental equipment and embedding best practice across the business.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will show strong, demonstrable leadership skills and excellent communication abilities, capable of effectively managing teams in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You will bring solid first-line management experience, including personnel management, conflict resolution, and a proven ability to support training and development. Strong IT literacy is essential, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as RT Pro and Microsoft Teams. You will be adaptable, quality-driven, and committed to continuous improvement, with a flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and occasional weekends to meet the needs of the business.

This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, with your regular shift pattern being 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday. You may be required on occasion to work additional hours as and when required by the company. We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime.
