Overview

In this role you will lead revenue accounting for a high-growth software company, ensuring IFRS 15/ASC 606 compliance and scalable revenue processes. You will drive end-to-end automation, collaborate with product, legal, FP&A, and sales operations, and mentor a growing team. You’ll shape contract review practices, reporting speed, and transparency for public-market scrutiny. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role with a focus on systems accounting and data-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management, sales operations, sales, legal, and FP&A to design standard contracts
  • Drive process and configuration improvements in NetSuite and related systems for end-to-end automation of the revenue life cycle
  • Incorporate industry best practices and emerging technology to improve reporting speed and accuracy
  • Review and evaluate revenue recognition impact of non-standard contracts and new products
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of revenue accounting and systems accounting professionals
  • Assist in month-end revenue close, including reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
  • Develop and maintain effective internal over revenue transactions and reporting
  • Research and write accounting memos on significant revenue recognition and policy matters
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors on order-to-cash matters

Key requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA, CA or equivalent with strong technical accounting skills and IFRS experience
  • Deep understanding of IFRS 15 and SaaS/services revenue rules
  • Leadership or prior management experience
  • Experience with software licensing, subscription, and services revenue accounting
  • Experience scaling revenue recognition processes in a high-growth environment
  • Experience with ERP, Rev Rec, CRM, CPQ; NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
  • Multi-country, multi-currency operations and tax experience
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks twice a year
