OSS software developer - Customer facing

MBR Partners are looking for an OSS software developer to support go-to-market and technical sales teams. The role involves working closely with Solution Architects (SA), Technical Sales Leads (TSL), and Global Sales Leads. The candidate will translate pre-sales requests into technical support materials, including product demonstrations, solutions, and enablement scripts for colleagues. The successful candidate should be a strong team player with clear communication skills and the ability to drive requirements to technical implementation and support. Key qualities include a passion for delivering successful outcomes and providing top-quality configured products and solutions. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Technical knowledge of the OSS domain Understanding of software development and system integration patterns Experience in software configuration, deployment, and testing according to product and solution patterns Experience working with architects and designers to understand OSS software configuration requirements and translating these into software solutions Responsibilities: Configuration and development of customizations Creating demo and PoC supporting materials, including demo scripts, recordings, and clickable demos to showcase product and use case benefits Interacting with client IT, Network Operations, Planning, and Engineering teams to deliver Proof of Concepts, understand target business and system processes, and define outcomes using the products Collaborating with pre-sales and Go-To-Market teams to ensure alignment between sales messaging and solutions during demo/PoC creation Working independently and in a hands-on manner Facilitating and participating in knowledge transfer and enablement of pre-sales teams to ensure end-user engagement and project delivery satisfaction Conducting workshops and design sessions internally and externally to drive towards optimal solutions while maintaining pragmatism and meeting sales objectives Key Skills: Minimum 5 years as a hands-on Software Developer in telco OSS and/or BSS areas Experience with backend programming languages like Java/J2EE, Python Familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as Maven, Spring Data/Security/MVC Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit Knowledge of databases such as Neo4j, Oracle, PostgreSQL+TimescaleDB Other technologies: ElasticSearch, Drools, Kafka, ReST (Spring MVC), SSO (LDAP, Reverse Proxy, OAuth2) Understanding of algorithms, data structures, relational and graph database concepts Additional requirements include understanding telecom network design, the OSS ecosystem, configuration processes, and domain knowledge in technologies like DWDM, Ethernet, IP.
