MBR Partners is running a search for a European software vendor that sells complex solutions to Telecoms Service Providers. It is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to work closely with the VP Global Sales to support them with analysing sales data, recommending process changes, and tracking the sales pipeline. The role is hands-on in nature, so candidates must have excellent Excel, CRM (Salesforce), and PowerPoint skills. The role will potentially have 1-2 bid support profiles reporting to it.

Responsibilities

  • Work with VP Sales to consistently analyse the sales processes to successfully shorten sales cycles, achieve repeatability and yield high close rates.
  • Provide vital, consistent, accurate & timely data and analysis that help meet the Company’s goals and objectives.
  • Support as required any commercial items in Salesforce and RFP processes.
  • Build and maintain accurate, detailed reporting models, including but not limited to: visibility into projected trending, win/loss analysis, client, stage, channel and solution trends, segmented revenue, and sales metrics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Senior Executives, Sales, Professional Services, & Finance.
  • Build Opportunity Analyses Reports which help support business decisions on sales strategies, solution types and market or customer trends.
  • Manage the global Price Book onboarding process in Salesforce.
  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.

Requirements

  • Execution and process-oriented, highly logical and analytical, detailed and driving high-quality output, excellent communicator with outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to transform complex ideas and data into clear messages to support focus and action from the senior team to improve sales productivity and performance.
  • Financial and operational modelling and comfortable working with and presenting data – ability to lay out models in Excel to show ROI, financial implications, etc.
  • Supporting activities to help define and size markets and evaluate strategic revenue opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant proven experience in a related role.
  • Proven track record of critical strategic thinking, especially creative strategies for rapid growth.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookup, macros, if/then statements, etc.
  • Strong analytical thinking capabilities and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter who is consistently proactive, uses time efficiently and acts with a high degree of personal accountability.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented - must be able to identify errors and/or develop controls to ensure accuracy.
  • Must have detailed experience with Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Experience and strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com.
  • Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
  • Experience empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
