Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company, based in the East Midlands of England, specialising in the pre-fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys. We are currently executing major contracts nationwide for major oil & gas companies that include AGIs, pipelines and major civil works. Our continued success and growth necessitates the appointment of an experienced Stores Manager. Working at our head office location in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, the successful candidate will be driven and motivated with a proven track record.
Responsibilities
- Perform roles and responsibilities of Stores Person within the Stores environment.
- Responsible for all aspects of stores process including: receiving of material, shelving, stock maintenance, stock counting and accuracy.
- Organising and planning stores department.
- Responsible for processing Stores returns.
- Responsible for stock checking of material.
- Responsible for monthly stock checks.
- Responsible for counter service; issuing materials, consumables & equipment to workshop operatives over the counter.
- Ensuring safe and environmentally sound working practices are adhered to.
- Checking goods delivered vs delivery documentation for discrepancies.
- Packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Flexible working approach.
- Must be computer literate and maintain stock accuracy.
- Fork Lift Truck license holder.
- Monitoring returned tools & equipment, report any damages to line manager.
- Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity.
- Allocating stock to projects, ensuring sufficient stock available and on time.
- Unload and load incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Keep the yard & stores clean and tidy to include perimeter checks as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience of working in a similar Stores role.
- Material handling.
- Hands on with can-do attitude.
- Computer literate.
- Good listener and team player.
- Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.
- Fork Lift Truck Licence.
